Kirsten Stackhouse

Kirsten Stackhouse is a digital artist and graphic designer based in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

She is formally trained in graphic design, visual arts, and theatre tech/design through the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design and the University of New Brunswick, graduating with a Diploma in Graphic Design (honours) and a Bachelor of Applied Arts.

Kirsten works primarily with Adobe Photoshop and a Wacom Intuos tablet for illustrative work, in addition to Illustrator and InDesign for graphic design projects. She occasionally uses markers, pencil crayons, watercolours, fine liners, inks, dyes, and more in her work.

Kirsten teaches non-credit courses and workshops through the LEAP program at NBCCD, specializing in digital illustration, digital painting, and traditional printmaking methods. Kirsten sells at craft markets and conventions around the maritimes, works on freelance and personal projects from her home studio, and is the author of a microbook called Raccoons of Odell Park (first published 2017).
